Axhibition 2024: 'RE-SHAPING'
University of Chicago
About
Axhibition2024: 'RE-SHAPING' is an annual project showcase by AxLab - Actuated Experience Lab, directed by Ken Nakagaki at University of Chicago.
This year's theme, 'RE-SHAPING' embodies the works explored by AxLab, themed across shape-changing interfaces, spatial swarm robots, interactive kinetic sculpture, behavior reflection tools, etc, each designed to offer visitors unparalleled interactive experiences.
At the heart of 'RE-SHAPING' is a profound inquiry into the evolving dynamics between humans and technology. Through our exhibiting projects, we aim to both share our current research and speculate on future possibilities. How are we reshaping technology to enhance and illuminate our lives, and in turn, how is technology reshaping our interactions, perceptions, and society itself?
The event will showcase approximately 30 interactive hardware projects by students from LAB (AxLab) and CLASS (Actuated UIs and Tech).
Date: February 29 (Thursday) 1:00 - 5:30pm
Location: John Crerar Library 1F Lobby, University of Chicago
